Design Overview: In undertaking the comprehensive retrofit and renovation of Alici, our primary goal was to transport diners to the idyllic Amalfi Coast, known for its lemon groves and coastal Mediterranean flavors. This project involved a meticulous redesign of the original space, overcoming challenges posed by the kitchen’s initial placement on the opposite side of the dining area.

Lemons served as our muse, influencing tile motifs, hand-painted porcelain chandeliers, and thematic pendant canopies. A harmonious blend of white, blue, and yellow complemented by earthy elements like stone, wood, and porcelain tile for an aged and classic design. A beveled oyster bar provides a sense of theater during dinner service, displaying a medley of oysters and whole fish. Ancient Italian influences are showcased through broken stone walls, weathered wood plank ceilings, and custom-printed wall vinyl resembling historical plaster.

Alici beautifully encapsulates the old-world charm of Italy with a contemporary twist, delivering a fresh Coastal Italian dining experience to an established promenade in midtown Atlanta.
